Pete Mikula, from Southeastern Ohio:

I am an amature woodworker. I enjoy my time in the shop, building furniture, tables, chests, boxes, humidors etc. I had been working in the basement for the past several years, but wanted to move the shop out of the house to get rid of the dust. I use the table saw alot and all other operations are done on my Shopsmith....

I had never done anything like this before (I'm a stockbroker by trade) so this was all new to me, but your plans made it a simple projecet. My wife and I had it under roof in the 3 days of the 4th of July weekend. Since then, I've been tinkering with the drywall, cabinets, insulation. wiring (100 amp service w/220 outlet for the saw), trim and flooring. The laminate floor was to allow the machines to roll easily on the shop floor. Everything is on wheels so I can move it around. The learning curve was pretty steep fom me, but just tinkering on the weekends, I am now finished, and I must say, pretty proud of my new workshop. I figure if I'm building my own doghouse, it may as well be a nice one. Im cooling with a 6200 btu window AC that I built right into the wall. The heat is a Blue Flame ventless propane heater, 10,000 btu.  It was a blast........ and easy to build.......... for an old stockbroker.........
